America Rocks

Fourth of July is a magical time here in the U.S. of A. Aside from the largely unregulated use of explosives and the massive quantities of alcohol consumed, there are other perks. For instance, the many ways an American flag can be turned into tacky attire (teeny tiny bikini, bandana, parachute pants). There's the authentic American cuisine (corn on the cob, velveeta cheese dip, red white and blue jello shots). But my favorite thing is church. On the week of the fourth we get to sing patriotic music. God Bless America, Battle Hymn of the Republic, America the Beautiful. It was grrrreat. Love it. Totally.

On another topic, Superman Returns was only so-so. Don't pay more than matinee price to see it.
